Kenneth William Wahl, age 77, of Elyria, OH, peacefully passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Elyria Medical Center. He was a loyal member of Grace Lutheran Church where he and his beautiful bride were the first couple to be married in the building. He was a graduate of Elyria High class of 1963. From 1963-1967 he was a Sergeant in U.S.M.C., Combat Engineer Vietnam ('66-'67), 8th Engineer 2nd Marine DIV., 9th Engineer 1st Marine DIV. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Barbara Lane. Survived by the love of his life of 54 years, Karen (Powelson) Wahl, beloved sons; Matthew (Trish), Daniel (Melanie), Brian (Elsa), and Brad (Theresa). Siblings; Timothy, Debbie, Doug (Janette), Mike (Tammy), & Melanie (Kevin). Kenneth was the proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren who he called his baker's dozen & 2 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 E. River Road, Elyria, OH. 44035 with a funeral service to follow at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where V.F.W. Post 1079 will conduct full military honors.
