Kenneth H. Schulz, 79, of Elyria passed away Sunday December 20, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a long illness. He was born September 3, 1936 in Elyria and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Ken was employed at Alltel as a PBX Installer for 43 years, retiring in 1998. He and his wife Sharon were also the owners of the Posey Depot in Elyria. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharon (nee-Sumpter); daughter, Dawn (Tim) Burns of Elyria; sons, Ron (Cheryl) Schulz of North Branch, MI., and Dean (Sabrina) Schulz of Pittsboro, NC.; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Schulz of Elyria; brothers, Donald (Jacki) Schulz of Port Charlotte, FL., and Bill (Denise) Schulz of Altamont Springs, FL. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of a A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday February 6, 2016 in the Black River Room at the Carlisle Reservation Center 12882 Nickel Plate Diagonal Rd., with a luncheon to immediately follow.
