Kenneth D. “Ken” Adams, Jr., 66, of Wellington, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Mercy Health Allen Hospital. Born in Lorain on August 11, 1959, Ken was an avid outdoorsman who was passionate about hunting and fishing.Ken also loved watching the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before spending 26 years in Montana,where he worked as a guide for Yellow Stone National Park eventually moving back to Ohio. Those who knew Ken describe him as a simple and quiet guy who loved spending time with his family and his fishing pole. Ken was a 1978 Graduate of Vermilion High School.

Survivors include his loving mother, Kay (nee: Odorizzi) Adams, sisters, Shelley (Tim) Cottom, Ann Meadows, Jennifer (Scott) Shectman, and 5 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth D. Adams, Sr.and his sidekick for many years, his dog Matti.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4 p.m. until the time of military honors and service at 6 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria. Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date.
