Keith Emery Swilik 78, of Elyria passed away following a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was born July 15, 1947 in Seattle, WA. Keith was a 1965 Elyria High School graduate; he then served in the U.S. Army and retired from U.S. Steel as a production worker. He enjoyed motorcycles, boating and travel. Survivors include a daughter; Lee Swilik of Elyria, a son; Jeff Swilik (fiancé Jasmine Kazmirczak) of Elyria, a grandson; Jack Swilik of Elyria. Jean Verlotti his significant other of Vermilion. Additional survivors include a sister; Terrill Lombardo of S.C., a brother; Greg Swilik of Elyria. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Gertrude (nee: Emery) Swilik. The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Friday June 12, 2026 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ride Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where a celebration of Keith’s life will be at 7:00 PM immediately following visitation. Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will be private.
