Kaycee Marie Smitek, 22, of Elyria passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at home. She was born October 14, 1998 in Westlake and was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Kaycee played CYO volleyball at St. Jude, she was a girl scout, loved starbucks coffee, Michael Kors purses, getting her nails done (makeup), going to the beach, she loved her dogs but most important to her was her daughter Meilani Marie who meant the world to her. Survivors include her daughter, Meilani Marie; mother, Cynthia Smitek (nee Vasko); sister Abagail Smitek; paternal grandmother, Mary Smitek; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; maternal grandparents Joseph and Catherine Vasko; paternal grandfather, Edward.
