Kathleen R. Widdowson (nee: Mervis) 51, of LaGrange passed away Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Mercy Regional Hospital in Lorain following a short illness. She was born March 9, 1961 in Elyria. Kathy was a Lorain High School graduate, and was co owner of Widdowson Excavating. She had managed several area McDonald's restaurants over the years. Kathy loved spending time with family and friends, working with her horses, 4-H and gardening. Survivors include her husband of twenty six years; Larry R. Widdowson, a daughter; Samantha J. Widdowson of LaGrange, two sisters; Victoria J. Evan-Iwanowski of Altamonte Springs, FL, Barbara S. Oray (Leonard) of Sheffield Lake, a brother; Gerald Mervis of Maryland. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; Clement G. and Darlene R. (nee: Hause) Mervis.
