Kathleen A. Machovina, (nee-Bereznay), 85, of Grafton passed away Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born February 8, 1930 in Lorain and was a Grafton resident for most of her life. Kathy worked in the cafeteria at Midview High School for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton, the Elyria Moose Lodge #778, and the ladies auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 1079. She enjoyed taking bus casino trips. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Al; daughters, Mary (Tim, deceased) Oliver of Vassar, MI. and Kim (Pete) Renuart of Grafton; sons, Mark (Karen) Machovina and Ken (Jean) Machovina both of Elyria; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Bereznay and Albert Bereznay both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday March 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH)The Rev. Fr. John P.
