Kathleen W. Murphy (nee: Bauer) 85, of Elyria passed away Wednesday March 22, 2023 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. She was born March 9, 1938 in Elyria where she was a lifelong resident.  Kathleen dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved her dog.  Survivors include two sons; Patrick Murphy (Teresa) of Elyria, Michael Murphy (Dawn) of Houston, TX., additional survivors include fifteen grandchildren and twenty nine grandchildren.  Kathleen was preceded in death by a son; Timothy Murphy, and her parents; Alfred and Mary (nee: Hanick ) Bauer, a sister: Joyce Bauer, and a brother; Bud Bauer.  Funeral services are private. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.  Memorial contributions in Kathleen's memory may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home of Elyria (440)322-4626.
