June Marie Ehrke (nee Folley) 89 of Elyria passed away Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Abbewood. June was a lifelong resident of Elyria. She was born March 11, 1927 in Elyria where she graduated from Elyria High School in 1945. She went to Central Radio School in Kansas City, Mo. And became a radio operator for Delta Airlines in New Orleans. Married Gerald Ehrke , her life long love in 1947. June worked for 17 years for Bendix and retired in 1984. Her happiness was her family. Survivors include her husband of 69 years Jerry , daughter Kandace (Mike) Koleski , son Tim (Judy) Ehrke , grandmother of 3 wonderful grandchildren Amanda Paxton , Adam (Traci) , Nicholas (Hadasha) Ehrke , great-grandmother of Morgan , Reagan , Brianna, in her eyes they are perfect. Nephew Wayne son of her late sister Harriet Brunger , niece Judy Queen , sister-in-law Norma Calhoun , and was blessed with many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Clara May (nee Flood) , sister Harriet , nephew Thomas Calhoun, a very special and loved Uncle Lloyd Flood who devoted his life to raising June and her sister Harriet upon the death of their father in 1929.
