Julius Eklics 85, of Elyria passed away Friday December 9, 2011 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph Center in Lorain. He was born March 16, 1926 on Gyor, Hungary. Julius was a retired Tool and Die Maker for General Motors. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Julius enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Cleveland area sports; baseball, football, basketball, and politics. Survivors include a son; Attila Eklics (Susan) of Elyria, two grandchildren; Tiffany Burkart (Randy), Evan Eklics (Ashley) and a great grandson; Kevin Burkart. He is also survived by two sisters; Margaret Nemeth (John) of Wintersville, OH, and Ilus Szollo (Sandor) of Hungary. Julius was preceded in death by his wife; Elizabeth in 1984 who he married May 20, 1954, and his parents; Julius and Rosalia (nee: Lucas) Eklics. All services are PRIVATE.
