Julia Olah Scholtes (nee: Perez) 75, of North Ridgeville, OH passed away Wednesday May 28, 2014 at University Hospitals of Cleveland following a brief illness. She was born April 23, 1939 in Concho, AZ. Julia enjoyed gardening, watching birds and animals in her backyard, crocheting, shopping, and keeping fit. Her pets were her pride and joy. Survivors include a daughter; Danielle Rogers (Rick) of New London, four sons; Phillip Huebner (Brenda) of Delaware, OH, Carl Olah Jr. of Elyria, Daniel Olah of North Ridgeville, Derek Olah (Becky) of Avon Lake, additional survivors include seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three sisters; Mary Kaczmar (Joe) of Coeur D'Alene, ID, Lena Pina (Ray) of South Amherst, Ramona Billings (Brent) of Ottawa, IL, and a brother; Benny Perez (Frances) of Victorville, CA. Julia was preceded in death by her husband; Clyde Scholtes, a son; Dennis Huebner, four sisters; Ida Montano, Josephina Perez, Ana Perez, Viola Perez, four brothers; Gabe Perez, Toby Perez, Cipriano Montano, Tomas Perez, and her parents; Tomas C. and Flora (nee: Sanchez) Perez. A celebration of Julia's life will be held at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday May 31, 2014. Burial will be private.
