Judy E. Simmerly (nee Szabo), 61, of Elyria passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a lengthy illness. She was born July 9, 1957 in Fairview Park. Judy had a great love for animals and family. She was a horse trainer . Survivors include her husband of 42 years Gregory; sister Sharon Szabo of Boulder, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Ethel Szabo (nee Bolla). Family will receive friends 3 PM until time of service at 5 PM Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
