Judy L. Howard (nee: Talarsky) 83, of Oberlin passed away Wednesday February 18, 2026 at The Cleveland Clinic in Avon. She was born August 25, 1942 in Elyria. Judy had worked as a medical coder for The Cleveland Clinic and as an EMT for the City LaGrange. She treasured spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. Judy was a regular member of The Elyria United Polish Club; she was a supporter of several animal rescue groups. Judy drove stock car as one of the first women to compete in The Powder Puff Race at The Lorain County Speedway, and was a 4H Advisor for many years. Survivors include her husband of sixty years; David P., two daughters; Kelly S. Oswald (Kenny) of Elyria, Kerry L. Jameson (Kevin) of Elyria, a son; P.J. Howard (Christina) of Spencer, and five grandchildren; Kortlynn, Chloee, Peter, Rylee, and Caleb, and a sister; Sue Read (Carroll) of Elyria. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Harriett (nee: Hallauer) Talarsky. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday February 23, 2026 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
