Judy D. Blevins, (nee-Gregory), 86, of Grafton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1940, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, and was a Grafton resident for most of her life.
Judy graduated from LaGrange High School (Keystone) in 1958 and went on to graduate from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She spent many years working in the bridal registry at Higbee’s/Dillard’s, where she enjoyed being part of many couples’ special beginnings.
Judy had a love for the simple things that brought joy to everyday life. She enjoyed reading, fashion, and sewing, and she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Above all, Judy treasured her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Blevins Mowry of Grafton; her son, Beau Blevins (Annie) of Massillon; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna, Sydney, and Jonathan; and her great-grandson, Owen.
Judy was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church and cherished the community and friendships she found there.
She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Johnny Blevins; her parents, Ernest and Jean Weese; her brothers, Larry (Hunter) Gregory and Gary Gregory; and her sisters, Janet Whitesel and Erna Weese.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio. Services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio.
Judy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of family, her sense of style, and the many simple joys she found throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, family, and friends.
