Judith L. Kennedy (nee Tripphahn), 76, of Grafton, Ohio, departed earth peacefully at her home at Danbury surrounded by her devoted family. Judy was born July 21, 1947 in Medina, Ohio andwas daughter of the late Martin Tripphahn and Audrey (Hazlett) Tripphahn. Judy was married to the late Harlan Phillip Kennedy for 47 years. Judy was a 1965 graduate of Midview High School. Judy was a member of Belden United Methodist Church. There she enjoyed being a Suzanna Circle member and the women's bible study. Judy's pride and joy was her family andespecially cheering on her grandchildren in extracurricular activities. Judy loved playing cards, puzzles, trips to the casino, General Hospital, and spending time with her cat, Sassy. Surviving are her three children, Jenny Docherty, Kelly Rigda (Andy), and Danny Kennedy (Ryan). She was a loving grandma to ten grandchildren, Taylor, Brennen, Shane, Cooper, Deghan, Kylie,Corbin, Kassidi, Harlan, and Sullivan, in addition, sister, Pat Kinkoph (John) and loving aunt tomany. Her family will forever miss her Texas sheet cake and macaroni salad. She is preceded in death by her husband Harlan on February 16, 2014. Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) Elyria 440-322-4626. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at The Belden United Methodist Church 36130 State Route 303 Grafton, Ohio 44044 where Reverend David Walker, Pastor, will officiate. Please meet at church. Burial will follow at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy's name can be made to the church.
