Judith A. Shober, (nee-Thome), 70, of Elyria passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus following a brief illness. She was born April 25, 1947 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Judy worked in the Data Entry department at the Parker-Hannifin Corporation retiring in 2012. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1079 Ladies Auxilliary and enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Larry) Adkins; grandsons, Dylan and Nicholas; sister, Marcia Kennedy; She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Wilma Thome, sisters, Sharon Smith and Linda Campbell and a brother, Anthony Thome Jr. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday April 20, 2018 in the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor of St. Mary Church will Officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
