Judith A. Scott, 77, of LaGrange passed away Friday December 28, 2018 at her home following a long illness. She was born December 20, 1941 in Tacoma, Wa. And was an area resident for most of her life. Judy worked as a caregiver for Weber Healthcare, spent 48 years serving as a foster parent and influencing youth in her community. She gave so much and asked so little from those she cared for. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Meilike, Sue Bean-Portinga and Amanda Koyan; sons, Rick Bean and William "Boomer" Haputa; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Zagorski; brothers, Lester and Tom Scott. A Memorial Service will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday January 2, 2019 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, where the family will receive friends from 4:30 until the time of services. Burial will be private.
