Joyce Shinsky Pleban, 61, of Northfield, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was born March 29, 1964, in Lorain and attended Admiral King High School. Joyce worked in sales and logistics and retired from XPO Logistics in 2024.

Joyce loved traveling and had visited many countries. She liked attending concerts and especially appreciated country music. Her hobbies included biking, swimming, gardening, scuba diving, and playing bingo. She always looked forward to spending time with friends and family and enjoyed Christmas and collecting nutcrackers.

Survivors include her sons, Christopher (Amanda) Shinsky of Elyria and Tyler (Liz) Pleban of Lakewood; daughters, Kelsey Pleban of Lakewood and Audrey Pleban of Northfield; brothers, Bruce Shinsky of Pennsylvania and Kevin Shinsky of Lorain; sister, Wanda (Guy) Shinsky of Norwalk; beloved granddog Bo; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Celebration of life information will be shared at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, which tirelessly supported Joyce throughout her final days, or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
