Joyce I. Harris, (nee-Gumm), 71, of Grafton passed away Sunday February 24, 2013 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake following a 9 year illness. She was born May 29, 1941 in Casey Creek, Ky., and has been a Grafton resident since 1964, coming from Yuma, KY. Joyce worked for the State of Ohio Bureau of Worker's Comp. for 18 years, retiring in 2004. She was a longtime member of the Sugar Ridge Baptist Church in North Ridgeville, and enjoyed traveling, having visited all 50 states and Canada. She also enjoyed spending time with family and her generosity to others continued after her passing, through organ donation. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Sam; daughters, Pam (Mike) Manosky of Elyria and Michelle (Dave) Kundtz of Grafton; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacqueline and Katelyn; sisters, Christine Forrest of Indiana, Irene Barnett of Munfordville, KY., and Nelle Livesay, Peggy Houk, and Carol McClure all of Campbellsville, KY; brother, Dallas Gumm of Campbellsville, KY.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mattie Gumm and brothers, Haskel and Johnny Gumm. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Ridge Baptist Church 36600 Sugar Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville. Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Joyce's son-in-law, Pastor Michael Manosky will Officiate. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. In liue of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church.
