Obituary

Joseph W. "Joey" Studzinski, 54, of Elyria passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at UH Elyria Medical Center following an apparent heart attack. He was born March 2, 1962 in Chicago, IL. And was an Elyria resident for the past 19 years. Joey was employed as an officer for the United States Customs and Border Protection in Cleveland. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Betty-Ann (nee-Pazder); son, Andrew Studzinski; parents, Fred and Mavis Studzinski; sister, Amy Bancoro; brothers, Fred Jr., Bill and Paul Studzinski. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday April 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Heart of Ohio Council Boy Scouts of America 3 North Main St. Suite 303 Mansfield, OH. 44902.
