Joseph A. Patarini, 76, of Elyria passed away Thursday December 20, 2018 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a brief illness. He was born May 31, 1942 in Nanty Glo, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Joseph worked at the Ashland Chemical Company for 37 years, retiring as a tow motor operator in 2009. He enjoyed music, movies and sports. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann (nee-McQuay); sons, Mark (Tina) Patarini and Michael (Pyong Suk) Patarini; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Mary Daugherty; brother, Morris Patarini. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 29, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be private.
