Joseph Hluszti, 85, of Elyria passed away Friday April 24, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain following a long illness. He was born November 5, 1929 in Greensboro, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Joe worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Lorain for 34 years retiring as a inspector. He was a avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan and enjoyed camping. Survivors include his sons, Gary (Connie) Hluszti of Creston and Gregory Hluszti of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Bagovich and Shirley Milush; brother, Mike Hluszti. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna in 2010 and 6 sisters. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
