Obituary

Jonathan Roy Adkins 63, of Grafton passed away Friday March 20, 2026 at The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1962 in Battlecreek, MI. Jonathan was a 1980 Midview High School graduate, and the served in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984. Jonathan was a loving Father, Brother, Uncle and a great friend to many Survivors include a daughter; Katherine Laseke (Patrick) of Lorain, brothers; Norman Adkins (Dawn) of Grafton, Ricky Adkins of Alaska, sister; Jenise Adkins of Florida. He left lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents; Leroy and Beaverly (nee White) Adkins, step-mother; Carolyn (nee Maxey) Adkins. Fiancée; Carol Cox and older sister; Robin Fisher. He was the kind of person always willing to lend a helping hand. Funeral services will be 1:15 PM Monday April 13, 2026 at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman, Ohio 44270 where the US. Army will be provided full military honors. Please meet at the Visitor’s Office inside the main gate of the cemetery (15) minutes before the service begins. A celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2026 following the graveside service from 3pm-8pm at V.F.W. Post 3341 783 Huron St. Grafton, OH 44044. All are welcome to attend both events.
