Johnny E. Bias Sr. 61, of Elyria passed away Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was born January 25, 1957 on Madison WV. Johnny worked as a diesel mechanic for Jonick Trucking in Sheffield Village. He enjoyed golf biking, and bowling. Survivors include his wife; Lula Schneider (nee: Walker), two daughters; Stephanie N. Collins (Jay) of Sandusky, Sherry Carter of Elyria, a son; Johnny E. Bias Jr. of Berlin Heights. Additional survivors include grandchildren; Catelynn, Nelson, Jacob, Tre, Angel, Nyesha, Joseph, Jonathan, great grandchildren; Lulu, Nylomi, Na-Lyla. two sisters; Edna "Sugar" Bias of Elyria, Bernice Bias of Elyria, two brothers; William Bias (Marsha) of Wellington, Eric Phillips of Elyria. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife; Mary J. Bias, his parents; Charles and Carol J. (nee: Foster) Bias. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday July 16, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
