John Paul Scholtz 85, of Elyria passed away Tuesday September 13, 2011 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville following a long illness. He was born March 18, 1926 in Johnstown, PA. John was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria. He enjoyed spending time with his family. John had played saxophone and clarinet in The Patriots Community Band, and enjoyed fishing, tinkering with projects around home, and bowling. Survivors include four daughters; Paula Milks (John) of Harbor Springs, MI., Marilyn Welch (Randy) of Indian River, MI., Sharon Ruebensaal (Jim) of Elyria and Carolyn Underman (Michael) of Finksburg, MD., additional survivors include nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and a brother; Karl Robert Scholtz of Johnstown, PA. John was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years; Jeanne (nee: Elbert), a grandson; Brad Milk, his parents, a sister, and two brothers.
