John T. Romantic 79, of Elyria passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at home following a long illness. He was born February 3, 1936 in Shoaf, PA. John served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He retired from Bendix as a Manufacturing Engineer. John's family was his life; he was very involved with his children and grandchildren's activities. He enjoyed time outdoors hunting and fishing. Survivors include a daughter; Debbie L. Boros (Dan) of Elyria, a son; Mark D. Romantic of Elyria, additional survivors include five grandchildren; Kyle Romantic (Kristin), Justin Romantic (Taylor), Alexandria Boros, Daniel Boros, Kristen Boros, and his companion; Dee Campbell of Vermilion. John was preceded in death by his wife; Connie Lou (nee: Grove), his parents; Joseph and Julia (nee: Yauger) Romantic, and a brother; David Romantic (Shirley). Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday May 14, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ 9715 East River Rd. Elyria where funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday May 15, 2015 (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Rev. Bret Myers will officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria where V.F.W.
