John Vincent Radachi 89 of Elyria passed away Wednesday October 21, 2015 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky following a lengthy illness. He was born June 11, 1926 in Rudnik Slovakia . John was employed by York International . He was a United States Navy Veteran , was a lifetime member of VFW post # 1079 , and the United Polish Club of Elyria. John enjoyed exercise , playing the card game 66 and attending family functions. Survivors include daughters Kathleen (Raymond) Radachi-Murphy of Vermilion , Mary Ann (Daniel) Radachi-Dzurec of Avon Lake , Susan (Darren) Radachi-Metzger of Williamsport , sons Timothy (Christine) of Wellington , Robert (Deborah) of Toledo , 9 grandchildren , 2 great-grandchildren , brother Frank of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene (nee Cibrik), parents Frank and Anna (nee Krupelak), brother Joseph. Family will receive friends 9-10 AM Saturday October 24, 2015 at St. Agnes Church 611 Lake Ave. Elyria , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Rev. Fr. Albert Veigas pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Elyria) , where full military honors will be provided by VFW post # 1079.
