John Edward Prunty, 48, of LaGrange passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at University Hospital Elyria Medical center with his family by his side. He was born November 10, 1971 in Elyria, was a graduate of Midview High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University. He enjoyed a long career and had many life long friends at Key Bank, and then more recently at Jones Day. John enjoyed poker, bowling, trivia, music (karaoke), concerts ,vacationing, cruises, and was an avid Cleveland Sports fan. But most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife Leah (nee Durkee); daughter Kristin Prunty; son Josh Prunty; mother Deanna "DeDe" (nee Wilson); brothers William (Cynthia ) Prunty, Richard (Carrie) Prunty, Dave (Brenda) Demyan; mother-in-law Jo Durkee. He was preceded in death by his father Billy Ray Prunty. Private memorial Services will be held due to the current circumstances.. Burial Private.
