John A. McIntire, 83, formerly of Jackson, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. He was born on March 23, 1940 in Portsmouth, Ohio to parents, Albert and Grace (nee: Trago) McIntire.  Survivors include his nieces, Sandra (Slutzker) Birmingham (Dale) of Columbus, Renee (Slutzker) Urban of Elyria, Barbara (DuBroy) DuBena (Doug) of Elyria; nephew, Thomas DuBroy of Elyria. John is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Marjorie Slutzker and Audrey DuBroy, and niece Linda (DuBroy) Bateman. Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at noon at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home in Elyria.
