John McGrath 41 of Elyria passed unexpectedly on February 28, 2016. He was born December 23, 1974 in Elyria and was a 1993 graduate of Elyria High School. John enjoyed golfing, watching the Browns , grilling , music , having fun with friends and family , a very hard worker and was excellent in his job , John was well loved by his extended family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 19 years Jennifer (nee Nelson) , daughters Kali and Kara McGrath both of Elyria , parents Susan (nee Stewart) , step-father Bill Kregosky , father John McGrath Jr. grandmother Norma Stewart , several Aunts Sharon Stewart (Nick Elias) , Sandy Stewart , Shelley Stewart , Sheryl (Mike) Bott , in laws Donna and Bruce Burdick . He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Lena McGrath and Dr. Norman Stewart. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday March 3, 2016 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
