Obituary

John M. Lewis, 57, of Grafton passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 from long term health issues at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center . He was born January 18, 1964 in Elyria and was a graduate of Midview High School. John started his own company Lewis Electric in 1982. He was well known everywhere and loved by so many. He loved camping, going out on the boat and spending time with his family. John spent most of his time doing projects with his grandson Erik. He will be forever missed. Survivors include his wife of 28 years Linda (nee Dempsey); daughters Tonya Loar and Teela Sabo; grandsons, Erik Loar and Joey Brown Jr., sisters, Jennifer Ehlke and Lizabeth Taylor; 1 niece and 1 nephew, along with their pet midnight. He was preceded in death by his parents Magdaline and Ronald A. Lewis; son Leslie Loar. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria, 440322-4626, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, June 18, 2021. Burial Butternut Ridge (Eaton Twp.).
