John Kopcho 67 of Elyria passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born September 25 , 1948 in Elyria and was a 1966 graduate of Elyria High School. John worked for Ford Motor Co. as a lead man for 40 years. He served his Country in the Army during Vietnam. John was a 3 sport athlete at Elyria High in Football , Baseball, and wrestling , he also held many records in swimming for the Elyria Country Club. John had many interests hunting , fishing , attending flea markets , collecting Geodes , and collecting Brass. Survivors include his daughter Jessica Martin (Chris Watson) of Lorain , son Drew of Bedford , Ky. , 4 grandchildren , 1 great-grandchild , sister Jill Biltz of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine (nee Heiman) , parents Bert and Beverly (nee Filmore), brother Jerry. There will be No visitation & No services. Burial Private.
