John A. "Jack" Szlempa Sr. 56, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 23, 2015 at UH Elyria Medical Center. Jack was born October 28, 1958 in Elyria, and was a 1977 Elyria Catholic High School graduate. He enjoyed collecting guns, shooting, reloading ammunition, and hunting. Survivors include a daughter; Kathryn E. Szlempa of Elyria, a son; John A. Szlempa Jr. (Bridgid) of Bay Village, a sister; Barb Sheller (Dennis) of Stillwater, OK, a brother; Greg Szlempa (Alicia) of Summerville, SC. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Anne (nee: Sabol) Szlempa.
