John P. "Jack" Foley 83, died peacefully on the evening of August 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born April 1, 1935 in Lakewood, OH, and was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area. He received the honors of the Fourth Degree of The Knights of Columbus and was a dedicated volunteer and past president of the Suburban West Right to Life Society. He was a voracious reader, an avid gardener, and a true Irish character. A devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather; Jack adored and was adored by his daughters; Debbie Sito (Chris) of Elyria and Patti Carver (Blake) of Chicago, IL., his grandchildren; Kristin Sito (Nick McGreevy), Michael Sito (Helga), Jessica Sito, and Eric Sito. and a great granddaughter; Chloe Sito. He was preceded in death by his parents; Daniel E. and Lucille (nee: Knipper) Foley, his sister; Dorothy Yoder, and his brother Daniel Foley. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday August 17, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday August 18, 2018 at St. Jude Church 590 Poplar St. Elyria. Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
