John Richard "Hotdog" Williams died peacefully on July 14th, 2022 in Avon, Ohio at the age of 78.  John is survived by his wife and lifelong travel companion Noreen (Miller); children, Sybil (Williams) and Thomas Gorman; Hannah Williams and Robert Grossman; brother, David Williams and Joan Plank; sister, Louis (Williams) and Al Muhl.  John was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sieglinde (Muessig) Williams.

John was born October 6, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio and he grew up on "The Farm" in Burton, Ohio.  After attending Fenn College and meeting Noreen, they moved to a few different places before settling in Elyria.  In Elyria, John made friends as a local business owner and at the pinochle table in the Elks Club.

John was found on the golf course with his buddies, cheering on his favorite Viking's basketball team, teaching his daughters about nature, or travelling through Kathmandu with Noreen.  Now he can be found in all our hearts.

The visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11am – 1pm at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home  38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Burial will be private.
