IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John M.
Hebebrand
March 18, 1961 – October 2, 2025
John M. Hebebrand, age 64, of Lagrange, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born in Elyria on March 18, 1961, He attended Keystone High School and the Lorain County Vocational School, where he trained as a tool and die maker. His craftsmanship and dedication led him to own and operate JMH Tool & Die in Lagrange, where he took great pride in solving complex machining challenges for his customers and friends.
A man of many interests, John was an avid reader with a particular passion for military and World War II history. He enjoyed building and collecting model cars, watching Barrett-Jackson and listening to music. His true passion, however, was restoring muscle cars. Over the years, he owned many makes and models of cars, but was best known for his beloved 1974 Dodge Challenger.
Above all, John was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need—no matter the hour or the task. His love for his family and extended circle of friends was unwavering. He will be remembered for his wit, humor, and steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.
John is survived by his sister Susan Gannet; nephews Bill (Cathy) Gannet and Scott (Jeni) Gannet; great-niece Kendal Gannet and great-nephew Landon Gannet; as well as many extended family members and friends David Coward and Marissa (Liller) Sitton who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother Lois E. Hebebrand, and his sister Lois Carol Hebebrand.
