John E. Graska 81, of Elyria passed away Saturday July 19, 2025 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.  He was born October 23, 1943 in Ashland, OH.  John proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1961 to 1965. John graduated from The Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in 1969 where he worked until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed boating, football and yardwork.  Survivors include his wife of fifty seven years; Saundra J. "Sonie" (nee: Alllis), two sons; Travis J. (Amy) of Elyria, Chad M. (fiancé' Toni Ortiz) of Elyria, four grandchildren; Meghan, Kiley, Liana, Jacob.  John was preceded in death by his parents; Robert H. Sr. and Virginia (nee: Brinkley) Graska, a sister; Janet Kay, and a brother; Robert H. (Bob) Graska Jr.  Funeral services are private.
