John O. Gleason, 71, of Elyria passed away Monday September 18, 2017 at his home. He was born April 16, 1946 in Cleveland and grew up in Elyria. John spent most of his life in Indiana, recently returning to Elyria. He worked as a sales representative in retail sales, served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam era, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football fan. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberley (Frank) Sorrell; sons, John O. (Beth) Gleason II, Bill Lattire and Lewis (Erica) Busse; grandchildren, Kayla, Shamus, Dakota, Logan, Kirsten, Jordan, Gavin, Nathan, Addison and Gretchen; sister, Judy (Bob) Pomeroy; brother, Joel (Mary Jane) Gleason, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Pamela. All services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to any veteran's organizations.
