John S. Dawson 64, of Dublin, OH (formerly of Elyria) passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday September 30, 2018. He was born August 23, 1954 in Elyria. John enjoyed bird watching, Civil War history, genealogy, and antiquing. Survivors include a sister; Marcia Wall (Patrick) of Dublin, OH., a brother; Wayne K. Dawson (Karen) of Flint, MI, several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; John C. and Shirley A. (nee: King) Dawson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday October 4, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria, OH 44035. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange Twp., OH.
