John Christopher Boyson, 64, passed away at HCA Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 . John or "Chris" as he was called was born July 2, 1958 to Dr. John Boyson and Jacqualine Boyson in Elyria, OH. He was an accomplished musician for 40 years and loved his profession. He was also known by his friends as "Boomer". Survivors include his loving mother, Jacqualine Boyson (nee Schmitz); son, Joshua Boyson of S.C.; daughter, Ashley Austin of  Wooster, OH and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. John Boyson; brother, Brian Boyson. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626, where funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, November 18, 2022. Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church will officiate.
