Obituary

John P. Beno, 73, of Grafton passed away at his home following a sudden illness. He was born May 1, 1945 in Cleveland and was a Grafton resident for most of his life. John was employed at the General Motors Corporation for 39 years, was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, was a 1963 Elyria Catholic High School graduate and enjoyed working on his farm. Survivors include his sister, Elaine (Matt) Krosse; brother, Paul (Margaret) Beno and nieces Sarah, Emma and Theresa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Beno and a brother, David Beno. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Christian Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday August 17, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant.
