JoAnne Monschein - Kapronica, (nee-Kosco), 78, of Grafton passed away Saturday February 11, 2017 at O'Niell Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born July 18, 1938 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria area resident, JoAnne was a devoted mother and grandmother and formerly worked as a real estate agent. Survivors include her son, Kevin (Pam) Monschein; grandchildren, Kyle (Brianna) Monschein and Brett (Erica) Monschein; dear companion of 35 years, Al Kopronica; sister, Sharon (Edward) Zelinski; brother, Richard (Sally) Kosco. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ann Kosco. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Private graveside services will be Thursday February 16, 2017 at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Lorain County Historical Society 284 Washington Ave., Elyria.
