Joann Quillen (nee Peace), 83, of Grafton passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was born July 1, 1935 in Letcher County, KY. Joann enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking, canning, and especially spending time with family. She retired from Grafton Sparkle Market. Survivors include her daughters Debra Starr of Excelsior Springs, MO., Pamela (Dwayne) Wray of Wellington, Karen (Dennis) Davis of LaGrange; son Jerry (Karen) Quillen of Sandusky; grandchildren Jimmy Quillen, Rachel Rieske, Jason Starr, Eric Starr, Katie Puckett, Justin Quillen, Christina Agnew, Ava Quillen, Timothy Quillen, Taylor Wray, Sarah Davis, Jerrod Quillen, Jenna Quillen; 15 Great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Yonts, Brenda Strong, Sheila Meade; brothers Bobby Peace, Gary Peace; and her beloved dog Benji. She was preceded in death by her husband James Quillen Sr.; sons James "Junior" Quillen, Joel Quillen; sisters Jean Bentley, Lettie Mauk; brother Jackie Peace ; parents William and Ethel Peace (nee Vernon). The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice, especially Karole Polk, for providing compassionate care.
