Joan M. DePolo (nee: Polenz) 86, of Elyria (formerly of Fairview Park) passed away Wednesday November 22, 2023 at Hospice of Western Reserve in Medina following a long illness. She was born September 15, 1937 in Cleveland. Joan had worked in the healthcare field for thirty five years; twenty five of those years were at the old St. John Hospital in Cleveland. She remained active after retirement until her health declined.  She treasured spending time with her family, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a Eucharistic Minister at her former church St. Angela Merici in Fairview Park. Joan also enjoyed music, old movies, reading, working puzzles and crocheting.  Survivors include her children; Donna M. Davies (Robert), Michael A.,  Richard V. (JoAnn), Laura J. Mock (David), Peter M. III (Pamela), eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.  Joan was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband; Peter M. Depolo Jr., a son; Ronald J., two infant great grandchildren, her parents; Alfred and Helen (nee: Disch) Polenz.  Per Joan's request funeral services will be private at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
