Joan Krepps, (nee-Mills), 84, of Elyria passed away Saturday December 16, 2017 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born July 27, 1933 in Prenter, WV., and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Joan worked at the K-Mart Department Store in Lorain for 18 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Christian Unity Church in Grafton and enjoyed church singings, crafts, crocheting and family gatherings. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Ken) Brandt; son, Doug (Darlene) Krepps; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Van Meter and Evelyn Lasko. She was preceded in death by her husband George O., sister, Katherine Workman, and brothers, Obrey and Arthur Mills. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 21, 2017 in the funeral home. Pastor Neil Brock will Officiate. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
