Jo Ann Nau, (nee-Diewald), 83, of Elyria passed away Sunday March 6, 2016 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born January 12, 1933 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Jo was a member of the Christian Unity Church in Grafton. Survivors include her daughter, Matilda "Tillie" (Brian) Mango of Elyria; sons, Edward (Sheila) Nau of Elyria and James (Sarah) Nau of New London; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Biltz, Dorothy Meltzer and Patty Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward " Dutch Nau in 2006, daughter, Kathleen Benton in 1988, grandson, William Benton, great-grandson, Evan Nau, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Thursday March 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Neil Brock, pastor of the Christian Unity Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
