Jo Ann Figula (nee Brainard) 81 of Elyria passed away Friday December 19, 2014 at New Life Hospice in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born July 21 , 1933 in Louisa, Kentucky. Jo Ann was a self-employed nursing assistant. Jo Ann was a 1951 graduate of Elyria High School. She was a member of Firelands Community Church and she also enjoyed Gardening, Country Music , and Baking. Survivors include daughters Judy (Rick) Smith of Elyria , Joyce (David) Gilbert of Wellington , son Jim (Debbie) of LaGrange , grandchildren Beth Vietzen , Richard Smith , Jonathan Figula , Melissa Figula , and Emily Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband William , parents Naaman and Lou (nee Carter) , sister Janet Moore , brothers Robert and John. Memorial Services will be held 1PM Saturday December 27 , 2014 at Firelands Community Church 48443 Russia Rd. South Amherst. Pastor James Justice will officiate. Burial will be Private.
