Jo Lynn "Cookie" Diederich (nee: Duran) 67, of Elyria passed away on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville following a long illness. She was born February 6, 1948 in Elyria. Cookie was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was a life member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. She treasured spending time with family and friends; and enjoyed baking wedding cakes and holiday cookies. Cookie loved her cats. Survivors include a sister; Pamela Ably of Ft. Myers, FL., two brothers; Rick Duran (Anita) of Elyria, Jeffrey Duran (Susan) of Marietta, GA., She was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Mary (Nee: Puskas) Duran, two sisters; Darlene Duran, Kathie Folley, and a brother; David Duran. A Celebration of Cookie's Life will be at 3:00 PM Thursday October 29, 2015 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran 4501 Clinton Ave. Lorain, OH 44055 where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM. Rev. Laurie A. Miller, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions in Cookie's memory to Christ Lutheran Church.
