Jo Ann Haywood (nee: Bergman) 90, of Elyria passed away Saturday January 10, 2026 at O’Neil Healthcare Assisted Living in North Olmsted following a short illness. She was born August 8, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA., and moved to the area in 1962. Jo Ann treasured spending time with family and friends; she enjoyed travel and reading. Survivors include her husband of seventy years; Wayne B. Haywood, two sons; Roger A. Haywood of Colorado Springs, CO., Dale R. Haywood (Leah) of Elyria, grandchildren; Lyndsay Haywood of Steamboat Springs, CO., Adam Haywood (Jennifer) of Chantilly, VA., Nathaniel Haywood (Kayla) of Elyria, Benjamin Haywood of Columbus, OH., and a great grandchild; Mackenzie Haywood of Elyria. Jo Ann was preceded in death by a son; Glenn G. Haywood (Pam), a grandson; Matthew Haywood, her parents; Joseph Ploeger and Jane P. (nee: Harbaugh), and a brother; Roy Nulton. All services are private. Inurnment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon at a later date.
