Jimmy C. Martin Sr., 79, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday May 17, 2022 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a brief illness. He was born February 17, 1943 in Hazlehurst, MS and was an area resident for 30 years. Jimmy was employed as a welder at the Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Tower Blvd. Baptist Church in Lorain and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Shirley (nee-Trest); sons, Jimmy Martin Jr., Michael Martin and John Martin; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas and Larry Martin. The family will receive friends Friday May 20, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
